- Description
- The purpose of this posting is to update the original synopsis posted on 10 February 2016. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award contract modifications under contract N00024-13-C-6403 to Oceaneering International, Inc., Marine Services Division, 2155 Steppingstone Square, Chesapeake, VA 23320, for the Regular Overhauls (ROHs) of two (2) additional Dry Deck Shelters (DDSs), and additional hours in support of field change development and production, emergent inspection and repair, and rotatable pool support which are already on contract. The ROH and field change efforts include planning, long lead time material procurement, production work, and testing for each DDS. Planning and production growth work will also be executed on three (3) ROHs (included are the two (2) ROHs mentioned above and one (1) which is on contract and in production today). Emergent inspection and repair will be conducted on DDS systems and components on an as needed basis to support DDSs in maintenance availabilities and deployed. Rotatable pool spare and repair parts will be maintained in support of the DDS program. The contract actions will be awarded using other than full and open competition pursuant to 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Oceaneering International, Inc. is currently performing ROHs, field change development and production, emergent inspection and repair, and rotatable pool and associated engineering and planning support under this contract, and this modification will allow these efforts to execute concurrently to meet the Navy's need without causing unacceptable delays and increased cost in fulfilling the requirement. The Navy plans to compete the future follow-on DDS maintenance and services contract through full and open competition. This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Responses to this notice must be received by 12:00 EST on 20 June 2016.
