- Request for Proposal EMAILCHEMY software is already in use across CI. It's used by many in the dead box forensic world to convert, export, and import email between Outlook, Entourage, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook Express, Eudora, AOL, CompuServe, QuickMail Pro, Claris Emailer, etc. This program will allow a forensic examiner to move email from Mac to PC or PC to Mac even if the email program formally used is too old to run. Emailchemy can run on Linux platforms and also includes the IMAP ImportServer and Google Apps Uploader. Web based email such as Google, Live, and Yahoo have made it necessary for CI's investigators to use tools which can convert email between different formats so all types of users (case agents, attorneys for the prosecution and defense, paralegals, etc.) can read and cull through the many email formats that may be involved in one case. Emailchemy converts email from the closed, proprietary file formats of the most popular (and many of yesterday's forgotten) email applications to standard, portable formats that any application can use. These standard formats are ideal for importing, long term archival, database entry, or forensic analysis and eDiscovery. Emailchemy provides utilities for splitting, sorting and merging email archives, and harvesting email addresses from email archives.
