Description

DRAFT PWS F-16, B-1 ICE DETECTORS SSS F-16, B-1 ICE DETECTOR PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT AND MORE DETAILS The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to repair of F-16 NSNs 6340-01-310-2536HS, 6340-01-227-0342HS & B-1 NSN 6340-01-184-8930RK Ice Detectors. The projected quantities will be an aggregate total of 155 repairs per year for 5 years. (The breakdown is estimated to be 35 each NSN6340013102536HS, 10 each NSN 6340012270342HS and 110 each of 6340-01-184-8930RK per year.) These items are an F-16 Engine Air Inlet Ice Detector Controller assembly and B-1 Ice Controller assembly that together sense ice on the engine inlet and energize heater when icing conditions are detected. There are no drawings available for these Ice Detectors. There are no repair procedures available from the USAF. Prospective contractors are required to provide all data, parts and procedures to repair the F-16 and B-1 Ice Detectors.
