Description

The Sierra Army Depot intends to enter into a one-year sole source follow-on contract under FAR Part 8 with Perry Johnson Registrars Inc, 755 W Big Beaver Road Suite 1340, Troy, MI 48084 for ISO 9001 & 14001 recertification Audits. The folow-on contract is necessary to align audits and/or recertifications. By entering into this sole source contract it would allow for recertification by the same contractor that has performed all the surveillnce audits rather than doing a competitive requirement for recertification that would be at the beginning of the contract period. Going forward we will be able to solicitate for audits with recertification at the end of the contract period rather than the beginning. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
