- On June 6, 2016, a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) will be issued by the National Park Service (NPS). The RFEI allows interested parties to submit their concept(s) of potential future adaptive use of the Frisco Railroad Station, taking into account the park's purpose. The Frisco Railroad Station is a 19,600 square foot facility with a recently re-covered asphalt parking lot in downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Frisco Railroad Station was built in 1903 and was used as a passenger and freight depot until the 1960s. Additional information on the facilities, park, and process are available in the RFEI.
