- The 700th Contracting Squadron, Kapaun Air Station, USAFE is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for: Asphalt Paver Screed (Volvo) (see Requirements for details). The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 333120 Construction Machinery Manufacturing. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to meet the government's requirement, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Capability to provide the items as requested or suggest alternative. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) provide the required items in the commercial market; 2) determine level of competition in the marketplace; 3) identify level of interest of the market to provide the required items; and 4) identify if alternative solutions are available and practicable. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION OR PROCURED THOUGH OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION The government requires a 2.5m screed for an existing asphalt paver (Volvo, type ABG 7820 B) The government is currently considering procuring as Brand Name or Equal. Equivalent items would need to meet the specification below.
