Description

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to enter into a single source contract award with BARD Access Systems for the purchase of one (1) Site Rite 8 Ultrasound System with accessories for the Boise VA Medical Center. This procurement is via purchase request 531-16-3-9961-0087. The anticipated award date is June 14, 2016. The new Site Rite 8 Ultrasound System must be compatible with the existing BARD PICC line kits currently owned by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The SherLock system for PICC placement is specific to the BARD PICC line which only interfaces with BARD, therefore no other make or model will meet the requirement of the Government. BARD Access Systems is the only authorized business distributor the Site Rite 8 Ultrasound System. Therefore, Bard Access Systems is the only vendor that can meet the needs of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
