Description

NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition Operations, Strategic Acquisition Center - Frederick (SAC-F) intends to non-competitively award a contract to Valador, Inc., 560 Herndon Parkway, Suite 3000, Herndon, VA 20170-5239 using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b). The proposed action is to provide Modeling & Simulation (M&S) services in support of the Veterans First Contracting Program Verification Process. The continued use of M&S services is critical to the success of Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization(OSDBU)efforts to improve verification application processes and reduce average verification decision wait times. Specifically, the M&S solution allows OSDBU to accurately determine the resources needed to support the processing of verification applications in alignment with MyVA principals, as well as allow OSDBU to explore high-risk, high impact improvement ideas prior to implementation of the new MyVA Verification Processes. FBO announcement is being placed in order to satisfy requirements in FAR 5.201. This notice of intent is not a request for expressions of interest, proposals, or quotations. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for any future needs of this sort. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this notice shall be emailed to LeShanna.Calahan@va.gov by 10:00 EST June 14, 2016.
