- Solicitation Number: R16PS01118 - Eddy Pump Rental for Dredge Comparison This solicitation is being advertised as a noncompetitive sole source solicitation. As provided under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), this project will be solicited on a noncompetitive basis as "Only one source is reasonably available to satisfy the agency's requirements". Project Description: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lower Colorado Region, Phoenix Area Office has a requirement to rent for one month the Eddy Pump Sub Dredge, to perform a real world application demonstration and dredge comparison between the existing conventional dredge being used. This requirement involves the mobilization, training, demonstration and demobilization of the equipment to the SCIDD facilities located near Florence, Arizona. Reclamation intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Eddy Corporation to rent the Eddy Pump Sub Dredge to test this product ¿s new patent technology in a real world application demonstration. The operational platform of the Eddy Pump operates remotely and is GPS synchronized meaning it can be operated from the bank side versus in the water body. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price purchase order be awarded no later than June 14, 2016. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238910 - Site Preparation Contractors and the size standard is $15 million. The contract award information will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (FBO) at (www.fbo.gov).
