- June 1, 2016 Walk Through sign in sheet AMENDMENT #2 1. ATTACHES WALK THROUGH SIGN IN SHEET 2. QUESTION AND ANSWERS FROM JUNE 1st WALK THROUGH Question and Answers Binghamton FBI 3rd Floor Walk Through 1.) Is the project taxable? No 2.) Has an area been designated for a construction trailer, or is there space for an office inside the building? There is no area designated for a construction trailer. Space for an office is at the discretion of the selected contractor and will be within the confines of the designed workspace. 3.) Drawing AD-101; General Demolition Note #11 indicates the project t has been intentionally designed to avoid the known presence of asbestos containing material. Therefore, my assumption would be that no costs should be carried for removal of such, and if encountered, would removal be handled as a change order? Is there a possibility of obtaining a copy of the Hazardous Materials Report? Should the contractor encounter any suspected asbestos containing material, contractor is to stop work and notify GSA immediately. If asbestos is encountered, removal will be handled as a change order. A Hazardous Materials Report is available upon request. (Please contact the CO at katherine.wheeler@gsa.gov ) 4.) Will both Phase 1 and Phase 2 areas be vacant when the contract commences? Phase 1 will be vacant when the contract commences. Phase 2 area will continue being occupied. Once Phase 1 is completed, occupants within the space for Phase 2 will vacate and move into the completed Phase 1 space. 5.) Will the owner remove all their furniture and equipment from the area? Yes 6.) On page #3 of the Solicitation Form, please clarify that Bid Item #0001 does not include a price for sprinkler work and that Bid Item #0002 (Option #1 ) will be added to it. Correct. Bid item #0001 is the base work that does not include price for sprinkler work and Bid Item #0002 is Option #1 that is the work for the fire sprinkler system that would be added to the base work.
