Description

This is PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621111 with a size standard of $11 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed price, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12 - month base year contract, with one (1) possible six (6) month option to extend. Service will begin on August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017 for the base year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about June 8, 2016 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) requires contractual services to provide Vascular Surgeon Physician Services to the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The Contractor shall furnish personnel to provide necessary clinical services of a Vascular Surgeon to provide clinical services to the Minneapolis VAHCS Vascular Service Department. Services will include on-call coverage, carrying a pager, and onsite services to staff outpatient clinics, operating room procedures, and provide consultation services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis VA Health Care System (hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS). The contract physicians care shall cover the range of Vascular Services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
