Description
Schedule of Supplies/Services (SOSS) - LEGARE Statement of Work (SOW) - LEGARE Solicitation (RFQ) - LEGARE Diesel Engine Inspection (DEI) of both Main Diesel Engines on board USCGC LEGARE. Period of Performance: 7/13/2016 - 7/26/2016 Place of Performance: Portsmouth, VA The contractor shall provide all necessary parts, hands-on training, technical assistance and technical oversight for USCG cutter crews to successfully perform the DEIs as required. The performance period for each cutter's DEI shall be 14 calendar days and will encompass inspection of both #1 and #2 MDEs. The performance periods do not include travel time to and from contractor's business to the vessel's location where the work is to be completed. The contractor shall ensure that all DEI's are performed in accordance with Coast Guard Technical Publications 3444A and 3905. The contractor shall provide a inspection report for each DEI completed using applicable Coast Guard Technical Publications as guidance. As a minimum all final inspection reports shall include information called forth in the "Inspection Worksheets" of Coast Guard TP 3905. The contractor shall draft a Condition Found Report (CFR) for any unusual conditions found that require immediate action to prevent engine damage or pose a risk to personnel. The CFR shall state conditions as found in detail compared to/against the OEM specifications, tolerances, or condemning limits. The report shall also include recommendations for corrective action, estimated labor hours to correct the discrepancy, and a complete list of repair parts. The contractor shall have a current NAVSEA Diesel Engine Inspection Certificate and be familiar with ALCO 251 engines as installed and operated onboard Coast Guard WMEC vessels.
