- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, in Boise, ID is issuing this sources sought notice to determine the availability and capability of small businesses to perform a contemplated future project. Information obtained through this notice may be used to determine the potential for issuing a future solicitation for this project with a small business set-aside, and to provide input for the Government's overall acquisition strategy. Description of Work: The work consists of removing and disposing of the existing excitation system. Furnish, install, and test new excitation systems for a single generator at a 18.2 MVA hydroelectric generating facility. Principal components of the work include: furnish and install new fully static excitation equipment for the one unit at the powerplant including power potential transformer (PPT), circuit breakers, SCR bridges, digital voltage regulators and associated limiters, instrumentation, protection, and control components; electrically disconnect existing rotating exciter which is to remain place; modify generator terminal tap location, unit control boards, and unit protection cabinets; remove one unit's three existing excitation cabinets, field breaker, and associated equipment; furnish and install conduit and conductors for power circuits; furnish and install metal-enclosed busway from PPT primary to generator terminal bus tap location; furnish and install control, power, metering, and low voltage wiring, terminate all cabling required for turn-key installation; furnish spare parts, furnish drawings and data; train Government personnel in operation and maintenance of the new excitation system; and factory and field test excitation systems and associated equipment. Location of Work: Work is located on the Green Springs Power Plant approximately 12 miles southeast of Ashland Oregon, in Jackson County. Estimated Value: The order of magnitude for this project is expected to be from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Information Requested: When responding to this notice, respondents are asked to provide the following information: 1. Business Name and DUNS number 2. Contact information, including email address, phone number 3. Business size and any additional socioeconomic classification(s) 4. Bonding capability, including current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits 5. Brief capabilities statement that addresses experience performing similar projects as a prime contractor. 6. Listing of previous and/or current projects where the respondent successfully installed and commissioned excitation system(s) in a hydropower facility. Provide description of excitation systems installed (manufacturer/type). Identify whether the installation and commissioning of the excitation systems was self-performed or subcontracted out. Describe the size and scope of project, and dollar value of the contract. Identify percentage of work on project that was self-performed. This is NOT a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bids, and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this notice. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this sources sought notice. Please submit responses to this sources sought to the primary point of contact provided in this notice. Responses are requested to be submitted no later than June 16, 2016.
