- Request for Quote (RFQ P16PS01575) - Boat Propulsion System Replacement The National Park Service (NPS), North Cascades National Park (NOCA) has a requirement for replacement of a Marine Propulsion System and other related system components (purchase and installation) on an NPS owned boat. This RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-88; RFQ is set aside for small businesses, NAICS 333618 Marine Engines manufacturing and installation, with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees. The Government intends to make a Firm Fixed Price, Simplified Acquisition (FAR Part 13), Best Value Award to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. 1. Background: The project entails the purchase and installation of an in kind marine propulsion system to include a motor, transom assembly, sterndrive unit and other related system components. The Contractor/Vendor will remove and replace the boats propulsion system and other system components with all new marine grade components in accordance with requirements and specifications set forth in the attached Scope of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall provide material and equipment submittals to the Contracting Officer (CO) as outlined in this solicitation and SOW documents. a. Vessel Information and Location: The vessel is a 24 foot, landing craft style maintenance boat known as the NPS ¿Maintenance Boat #1 ¿, and is the primary vessel used for erosion control and related maintenance projects in the North Cascades National Park, Lake Chelan National Recreation Area. The boat was originally built in 1999, and the use of the vessel is to push around a work barge and to provide transportation of personnel, supplies and equipment on Lake Chelan. The following boat information is provided: Make: MetalCraft Marine Model: 1999 Bullnose Model ST-24SV Workboat/Landing Craft Hull: 24' Foot Aluminum Bullnose, 9'6' Beam, (HIN #OMJ70011D999) Transom (s/n - OL535807) Engine: 350 Magnum MPI Bravo MerCruiser (s/n - OL355007) Sterndrive: Bravo Two Special Notes: Cab is forward tilting. The Boat is presently on a trailer and is available for inspection at: Mountain Barge Services LLC, 1222 W. Woodin Ave. Chelan, WA 98816 Please view the information in the attached RFQ documents and if interested provide a quote as indicated. Amendments to this RFQ will be posted at www.fbo.gov search for P16PS01575, it is the contractor's responsibility to check the website periodically for any posted changes to the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
