Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, firm-fixed construction contract for project 573-14-801, 'REPLACE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM'. Project location is the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. Project is set aside for certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). In accordance with VAAR 836.204 (Disclosure of Construction Projects), the construction magnitude is $2 MIL to $5 MIL. Project involves the campus-wide upgrade of the fire detection and alarm system. The work includes, but is not limited to: general construction, alterations, demolition of existing fire alarm devices and equipment, provision of new fire alarm system devices, appliances, conduit, conductors, panels, and programming as required for a complete and operational fire detection and alarm system. Proposals are not requested at this time. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be uploaded on this FBO site on/about July 8, 2016. Further details regarding this project, to include the preproposal site visit and proposal due date will be included in the solicitation. All respondents are to be certified and verifiable SDVOSB firms at the time of proposal submission.
