Description

The VA in Bedford MA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Fidelis Sustainability Distribution, LLC. for a Fibroscan 502 Touch. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description FibroScan 502 Touch provides reproducible and systematic measurements. o In fact, a custom-designed ergonomic transducer generates a pulse to induce a mechanical shear wave with controlled force at 50 Hz. o Velocity of low energy mechanical shear wave is assessed with ultrasound o Shear wave velocity is proportional to stiffness Salient Characteristics 17" Touch Screen o Optimal comfort & image quality in all situations o High contrast & brightness o Wide viewing angle Advanced electronics for fast and effective examination o High speed elastrometry engine Front and rear handles o Easy to move and manipulate Smart Tools Automated Probe Selection o Indicator to recommend the probe best suited to the patient's morphology Liver Targeting Tool o Indicator to help select the optimal measurement point o Characterizes the quality of the ultrasonic signal Pressure Indicator o Provides visual feedback on the applied pressure prior to taking a measurement This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 06/18/2016 4 pm EST. Responses should be sent to Kolleen.Jandaczek@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
