- Amendment Six( 06) done to Request for Quotation No. A16PS00651 as follows: 1. To include the amendment done to the Scope of Work. SCOPE OF WORK OLD WINGATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PHASE II STUDIES WINGATE, MCKINLEY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO History: The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) proposes to demolish abandoned and aged school building and support buildings at the Old Wingate Elementary School. The Old Wingate School tract is approximately twenty-five (25) acres in size. The plan is to demolish 21 buildings totaling approximately 172,182 square feet. BIA owns the water and sewer lines; The City of Gallup, the local utility, owns the powerlines and natural gas lines. Change Item Sampling and Analyses 1. Asbestos (Friable and Non-Friable): ADD: 1. Destructive sampling buildings to include; Destructive Sampling of all buildings and structures Buildings 31, 55, 57, 58, 59, 62, 64, 72, 84, 88, 94, 95, 96, 177 and 178. KEEP: 2. Non-Destructive sampling shall be conducted in Buildings 46, and well house 176 and Structure 109 Water Tank. 3. The composite sampling of concrete foundations shall be collected to determine if asbestos is present in the concrete. 4. The contractor shall also sample the existing steam tunnels which have steam lines and steam lines encased in asbestos thermal system insulation. There is an existing steam tunnel encased in a 3X4' tunnel under the sidewalks. These tunnels are to be sampled for asbestos. a. This will include daylighting of steam tunnels at beginning, middle and ends of each of the run, digging beginning, middle and end of each steam line and defining estimated linear feet of steam tunnels and steam lines. 5. Any suspect areas identified in the site inspection where asbestos may have been released into the soils shall also be sampled and the sample analyzed. ADD: 1, Solid Waste Landfill Number 1 East of the school, adjacent to the former dairy barn (Building 72). a. Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), a Magnetometer or similar device, delineate the length and width of the landfill Number 1. Anecdotal information identified the single cell to be "L" shipped. b. On a drawing, show the size and GPS coordinates for the cell. c. Pot Hole the cell at both ends and the center of the L to characterize the waste. Any excavated waste uncovered during pot holing efforts shall be disposed in a permitted landfill. The pothole shall be covered with existing clean soil. d. Based on findings, estimate the volume of waste in cell. Data will be used to provide the basis of waste volume for any future disposal. Delete: Building assessment should be made of the Historic Building to determine if the buildings are in viable condition and can remain in place without a threat to human health and safety they pose. This item is being deleted in its entirety. No Historic Building Studies will be required at this time. Change: The Period of Performance is July 1, 2016 through August 31, 2016 or 60 days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAINS THE SAME IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
