Description
The Joint Attack Munition Systems Project Office anticipates an acquisition of the following requirement: Shipping and Storage Container (SSC), Part Number (PN) 13556595 for the Joint-Air-to-ground Missile (JAGM). The JAGM SSC is similar in nature to the HELLFIRE II Shipping and Storage Container; and the major difference is the container length. The SSCs shall be built in accordance with (IAW) a Government owned Technical Data Package (TDP) 13556595. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336419, and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The Government's requirement for the base year is for a minimum quantity of 324 each and maximum quantity of 420 each, and a minimum quantity of 100 each and maximum quantity of 2,631 each for the options. The quantities do not include prototypes for First Article Testing (FAT), or Performance Oriented Packaging (POP) Testing. Interested contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Requests (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List procedures. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) to be submitted. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this announcement is strictly voluntary. The Government anticipates that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released within the near future. This requirement will be solicited and awarded as a base year with options; as a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract with an estimated value of approximately $9.9M. This acquisition will be limited competition Small Business Set-Aside, and restricted to U.S. companies. The Government anticipates that for Fiscal Year 2017-2019 a single contract will be awarded to the Offeror whose proposal meets the requirement of the anticipated RFP.
