SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 0001 HSCGG1-16-B-PFA024 REPLACE WINDOWS, TUCKPOINTING AND PAINT POWER LAB IN MCALLISTER HALL, USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT PROJECT #6911911 HSCGG1-16-B-PFA024 ISSUE DATE: 27 MAY 2016 Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the following work: Base Bid work includes the following: Tuckpointing of all missing and/or damaged mortar joints; Removal and replacement replacement of all masonry opening lintels; Removal and replacement of all damaged and/or missing brick; Prep and paint interior walls and ceiling of the Power Lab; Strip and remove wall coating from the interior side of the exterior masonry wall; Removal of the mezzanine vinyl composition tile and floor base; Remove and replace (9) roller windows shades. Optional Bid Items are as follows: Optional Bid Item #1 - Replacement of all exterior bay windows with new insulated, low-e, tinted glazing and metal framed windows. Note; the interior side, of the windows are constructed with asbestos containing glazing caulk. Remove and dispose of the window units in accordance with all federal, state and local government regulations. Optional Bid Item #2 - Remove and replace the overhead coiling door, steel guides, power and wiring electric connection and motor. Optional Bid Item #3 - Install new expanded (powder coated alum.) metal panels to the mezzanine level guard rails. Optional Bid Items will be exercised at time of award or within 60 days of award. Performance Period: The Period of Performance is as follows: Base Bid: 8 weeks or 56 days Optional Bid Item #1: an additional 6 weeks or 42 days will be added to the period of performance if exercised. Optional Bid Items #2 and #3: no additional time will be added to the period of performance if exercised. The estimated value of the procurement is between $400,000.00 and $500,000.00 inclusive of all optional bid items. Solicitation packages will be available on 27 May 2016. The date set for receipt of bids is 30 June 2016 at 2:00 pm EST per amendment 0001 posted 6/15/2016. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238140, Masonry Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 Million. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14 and is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns.
