Extensive damage was done to the fiberglass haul when it was run aground striking a concrete pillar. This means that the vessel was operational and underway at the time of impact and it needs to be returned to that condition by the offeror. The construction of the hull is of very thick fiberglass. There is approximately 6-8 feet of damage to the hull along the keel-line, in a strip approx. 6 inches wide. The depth of the gouge varies with the deepest gouge being about 1/4 inch deep. The hull did not appear to be breached, and it did not take on water. The structural integrity of the fiberglass did not appear to be fractured. The interested party will need to possess an advanced working knowledge of structural marine fiberglass reconstruction and repair. The desire is to bring the vessel back to ready for Issue (RFI) condition.
