- AG-4146-S-16-0016 A Site Visit meeting will be held on Jun 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Bankhead District 1070 Hwy 33, Double Springs, AL. Offerors may also participate via teleconference-1-888-844-9904 Access Code 8430195 if unable to attend. Offerors are free to visit the site at their own convenience. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to design, build, install as well as design and provide parking and access to a courtesy pier that meets the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard at Recreation Areas on the Bankhead National Forest. The base pier is located at Corinth Recreation area, (2540 County Road 57 Double Springs, AL. Option item piers are located at Houston Recreation area (1033 County Road 3124 Houston, AL, and Clear Creek Recreation area (8079 Falls City Road Jasper, AL Piers are to be at a minimum, large enough to safely accommodate two (2) boats at the same time. Piers are to be installed adjacent to the existing boat ramps without compromising ramp use. Piers are to be self-adjusting to changes in water level. Gangways are to begin at the parking lot, and be a minimum four (4) feet wide with railing a minimum three (3) feet wide side rails, with an end gate. Gangways will meet 2010 ADA standards, except for grade. Additional consideration will be given to designs that meet ADA grade standards on gangways, but the contract does not require gangway to meet ADA grade. The gangway length shall be determined by the contractor, to provide the longest season of use, while staying within Alabama Power Company (APCO) restrictions for length. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation is expected to be posted around Jun 8, 2016 or soon thereafter on this website. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunity website at http://www.fbo.gov for status of solicitation and amendments, if any. Information dealing with the site visit will be included in the solicitation. Vendors are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to award of contract.
