- Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2016 May 12 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-16-B-0014 On or about 15 June 2016, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the IDCC Road Rehab For Big Bend-Lake Sharpe, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 19 July 2016. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See ‘Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The project scope is to provide a means to provide annual maintenance to the project roads system throughout the entire project facility that meets current design, construction and safety requirements. Project bid items include the construction and repair of both asphalt and concrete paving, repair and sealing of project asphalt roads by chip sealing, installation and repair of sidewalks and curb and gutter, sealing of cracks in bituminous pavement, application of striping and other lane and traffic marking. Also included will be earth work and delivery and stockpiling of aggregate for placement on the project roads. All of the work will meet current State of South Dakota construction and material requirements or as called out in the specifications. The work shall be performed at the Big Bend Project which is administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers just to the south of Ft. Thompson, South Dakota and at various recreational sites along Lake Sharpe on the Missouri River. This is a five year contract from the Notice To Proceed. The minimum awarded amount is $10,000 and a maximum amount of $495,000 for the five years. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is an indefinite quantity contract for rehabilitation of roads effective for 5 years from the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor will be required to commence work immediately after Notice To Proceed on each delivery order. Each delivery order will be issued with a time of completion. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages for each delivery order in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required for each individual delivery order over $25,000 in value. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
