This is a Source Sought notice only. DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit a one-time buy for NSN 6140-01-521-8584, Cell Battery. The AMSC is 3D, Acquire, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. AMCS 3, 4, or 5 are valid. The current approved source is Marathonnorco Aerospace Inc Cage 74025, Part Number 32999-001 Sources interested in this solicitation should complete the attached Market Survey and return the competed copy to Stephen R Foster Jr via email; stephen.r.foster@dla.mil by 6/24/16.
