Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.303, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The federal supply schedule procedures of FAR Part 13 will be used in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. Solicitation # VA256-16-Q-0748. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This is a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses only. Only offers from Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses will be considered. NAICS code is 238220, size standard is $15 MILLION. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-87, effective April 6, 2016. STATEMENT OF WORK SCOPE OF WORK FOR AIR TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE OFFICES GENERAL DESCRIPTION 1.The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and services necessary for and incidental to Air and Systems Testing and Balancing of the Nuclear Medicine area of the MEDVAMC. It is located on the second floor in Area H. The area is about 20,000 sq ft and consists of about 50 rooms and 3 major corridors. See attached drawing. 2.The Contractor shall include an extended warranty of one year after final acceptance by Owner, during which time the Owner may request a recheck, or resetting of any outlet or device listed in the test report. The Contractor shall provide technicians to assist in making any test or adjustment required. 3.The Contractor shall procure the services of an independent testing and balancing agency, with previous consent of the Owner or the Owner's Representative. The Testing and Balancing Agency shall specialize in testing and balancing of heating, ventilating, air-moving equipment, air-conditioning system and Hydronic systems. The testing agency shall provide proof of having successfully completed at least five projects of similar size and scope, and shall be a certified member of the Associated Air Balance Council and/or National Environmental Balancing Bureau and/or Testing Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB), unless otherwise approved. The Mechanical Contractor shall award the test and balance contract to the selected agency as soon as possible after approval of the agency by the Owner or the Owner's Representative. 4.All current air moving and air handling equipment including control systems are in working order. TheContractor shall submit three (3) copies of data for the testing and balancing work for review by the Owner or Owner's Representative.
