- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for the Dry Dock and Repairs of Service Barge 101. Service Barge 101 is located at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh Engineer Warehouse and Repairs Shops, Neville Island, Pennsylvania, at River Mile 7.5, Main Channel, Ohio River. The sites of the work may be reached from state and local roads and streets. The general description of the work consists of dry docking and repairing the vessel, including transporting the vessel to the Contractor's facility and returning it to the Government facility upon completion of repairs, including but not limited to the following: Furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and transportation thereof, and performing all operations required to make repairs to the vessel. Work includes: sandblasting the entire barge exterior hull, repairing rusted and/or damaged metal and paint the barge as outlined in the specifications that will be provided with the solicitation. All work shall be in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard and American Bureau of Shipping Regulations and Standards where applicable. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary facilities for movement of the vessel. Should the removal or shifting of any parts of the barge be necessary for carrying out the repairs specified, the same shall be done by the Contractor and all such removals shall be subsequently replaced and any damage or loss resulting there from shall be restored by the Contractor at its own expense. Should any portion of the barge's structure require alteration in order to carry out the work, even though not specifically mentioned herein, the Contractor shall make such alterations. While the barge is in the Contractor's possession, the Contractor shall be responsible for any loss or damages. The Contractor shall construct temporary cover and take the necessary precautions to prevent delays resulting from weather. This procurement will be a Firm Fixed Price, 100% Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing, and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The period of performance will be 45 calendar days after receipt award. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about July 05, 2016 on the Federal Business Opportunities. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to receiving any federal contract award (visit www.sam.gov to register).
