Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This synopsis is notification that Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7-Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, intends to solicit from and award a Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) Contract, on a Sole Source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106, only one responsible source, to Cooper-Atkins Corporation. The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center currently has a wireless Temperature Monitoring System (TempTrak) which was provided by Cooper-Atkins Corporation. Cooper-Atkins will be upgrading the current system from analog to digital. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 10:00 AM CST, Monday, June 20, 2016, an award will be made without further notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Phone calls will not be accepted. All responses must be made in writing and directed to LaShondra Wynn @ lashondra.wynn@va.gov.
