Private Meetings with Government team (arranged by request) FY17Q1 Projects • Spectrum Cohabitation Demonstration / NASCTN • Spectrum Cohabitation Demonstration / SLATE ATD • Next Generation Spectrum Situational Awareness System Spectrum Cohabitation Demonstration / NASCTN - This project conducts developmental testing on 5th Generation - Advanced Training Waveform (5G-ATW) to establish its ability to cohabitate with other waveforms in the 1780-1850 MHz band. Testing will be conducted to verify the projected improvements and validate compatibility with other DoD waveforms before progressing to operational open air testing. Spectrum Cohabitation Demonstration / SLATE ATD - This project conducts operational open air testing of 5G-ATW during air combat training system (ACTS) Live-Virtual and Constructive (LVC) scenarios as part of the Secure LVC Advanced Training Environment (SLATE) Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD). This provides the opportunity for 5G-ATW to demonstrate its promised cohabitability with other DoD waveforms in the 1780-1850 MHz band. Next Generation Spectrum Situational Awareness System - This project develops an effective means for monitoring spectrum use and recording ground truth of the RF environment in an access-controlled distributed data repository to facilitate flexible spectrum management at DoD test and training ranges. Specifically, it develops standardized file and database formats for the efficient storage, transmission and analysis of recorded precise-location and time-stamped RF data. This effort also establishes overarching architecture and low-cost scalable RF sensor prototypes that will provide a real-time and trend spectrum monitoring capability that supports the dynamic spectrum management techniques needed for cohabitable waveforms. Future Potential Training Portfolio Topics: • Modeling and Simulation of Spectrum Environment • Mobile Ad Hoc Networks • Spectrum Analytics • Industry suggestions for training related spectrum investments Conference Location: Webinar Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum is a vital resource to DoD in support of air, ground and sea training programs. Beginning in the early 1990s, the RF spectrum available to DoD training has significantly decreased. The ever-growing use of wireless communications, such as LTE cellular and satellite services, has led to entities seeking increasing amounts of spectrum to support commercial wireless services. The AWS-3 auction repurposed 25 MHz of Federal spectrum to support commercial wireless services (1755-1780 MHz) within the 1755-1850 MHz band that was heavily used to support DoD Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS). The Spectrum Access R&D Program (SARDP) was created in 2014 to support the AWS-3 auction and associated transition plans, conduct the R&D necessary to implement current or future relocation or sharing arrangements associated with the AWS-3 auction, enhance DoD ability to operate in a congested RF environment, and advance the state of the art in spectrum efficient and sharing technologies. The SARDP training portfolio focuses on enhancing ACTS spectrum efficiency and sharing capability and to enhance spectrum usage and management at DoD ranges and facilities. The complete SARDP training portfolio is comprised of the following projects: • Waveform Assessment Model • Spectrum Cohabitation Demonstration at NASCTN • Spectrum Cohabitation Demonstration • Next Generation Situation Awareness System • MANET Range Configuration Broadcast Service • Operational Spectrum Comprehension, Analytics & Response (OSCAR) • Enhanced ACTS Capability (proposed) The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of contracting opportunities among researchers and developers in Industry, Academia, and Government. Attendees may request a private, individual discussion session with the Government management team along with the technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the topics. These focused private sessions provide an opportunity to ask unique questions or discuss information relevant to the topics that may be proprietary to the attendee. Registration for this event is required, but there is no attendance fee. Please register for the SARDP Training Portfolio Industry Day no later than 10:00 AM EDT on 23JUN2016 at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3400351134559389698 Registrants will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the webinar. Questions can be submitted via email or the chat function during the webinar and will be posted in an FAQ format following the industry day. Private meetings are available via teleconference and will be scheduled on a first come - first reserved basis. To request a private meeting, please email the Spectrum Inbox at: spectrum.consortium@scra.org. Please include the following additional information: • List of the topic(s) of interest from the SARDP Training Portfolio for the meeting • Identification of the personnel to be involved in the meeting • Requested duration for the meeting (not to exceed 30 minutes) • Preferred date and start time for the meeting Any administrative or technical questions pertaining to this event should be sent to: • Mike Atkinson at mike.atkinson@scra.org This Industry Day is in support of the Section 815 Prototype Other Transaction Agreement with the National Spectrum Consortium. All interested parties are eligible to attend the Industry Day regardless of their consortium membership status; however, only members of the consortium will be able to participate in any subsequent Request for Project Proposal (RFPP) action as a result of the Industry Day findings. The National Spectrum Consortium is an open consortium with a low barrier for membership.
