- See RFI The CNU-129 container assembly is a compact, functionally integrated unit designed to provide the aircrew member with immediately available survival equipment after emergency abandonment of the aircraft. At the option of the crew member, the survival kit may be either manually or automatically deployed. It consists of a front compartment which houses the inner container survival components, drop lanyards, and the life raft. The parachute support spacer is mounted on the cover of the rear compartment. The container is attached to the parachute harness accessory rings with various types of connectors attached to the ends of two adjustment straps of the container. Free ends of adjustment straps can be positioned either to the inside or outside. Elastic retainers will be locally manufactured. Responses must be received electronically no later than 5:00pm EST, 5 July 2016.
