Description

The VA Boston Health System (VABHCS), Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) intends to award a contract for Perfusion services. The contractor shall furnish all necessary supervision and qualified competent personnel to perform services in the treatment of care for eligible veteran beneficiaries as specified within the performance work statement (PWS). The Contractor shall provide four (4) Full Time Equivalent Employee (FTEE) consisting of one (1) Board Certified Perfusionist Supervisor and three (3) Certified Perfusionist. The Contractor shall provide Perfusion services in accordance with current VA guidelines, policies as well as being in compliance with the standards of The Joint Commission (TJC). The Authority for this procurement is the Department of Veterans Affairs Directive 1663 implementing provisions of Public Law 104-262, the Veterans Health Care Eligibility Reform Act of 1996, which expands VA's health care resources sharing authority in Title 38 United States Code (U.S.C.) Sections 8151-8153 (sharing authority). The contract period will consist of a six (6) month base period with one (1) six (6) month option renewal. Services shall be performed on site at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center, 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132. The solicitation will be for commercial items prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12 and evaluated in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 15. The solicitation document will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA241-16-R-0504. The procurement will be 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 621399 with a size standard of $7.5 million. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available on or about June 22, 2016 at the FedBizOpps (FBO) website: https://www.fbo.gov The closing date for submission of proposals will be July 13, 2016 at 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Any amendments or additional information issued to this solicitation will also be available at the FBO website. Offerors are responsible for obtaining any and all amendments or additional information. All questions shall be submitted in writing no later than July 6, 2016 at 3:00 pm EST.
