This advertisement has updated information as of 5/27/2016: Over $1.7 billion in federal contracting opportunities will be discussed at the 2016 Arkansas Regional Industry Day! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District (SWL), Tulsa District (SWT), Memphis District (MVM), Vicksburg District (MVK), and Army Engineering, Research & Development Center (ERDC), in collaboration with the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS); Little Rock Air Force Base 19th Contracting Squadron (19 CONS), the U.S. Army Reserve 63rd Regional Support Command; Pine Bluff Arsenal; National Park Service (NPS); U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Arkansas District; U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR); U.S. General Services Administration (GSA); and the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center (APAC) will host the Arkansas Regional Industry Day Forum on June 14-15, 2016 at North Little Rock High School, located at 101 W 22nd Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114. The forum will run from 8:30AM until 4:00 PM each day. The purpose of this Industry Day forum is to conduct market research at a programmatic level to enable the government agencies to establish acquisition plans for upcoming FY16/17 requirements, to provide unique information as well as an opportunity to partner with local contractors, and to foster interest in federal government contracting requirements. All interested attendees must pre-register; this forum is open to both small and large businesses. Industry Day will focus primarily on presentations from the government agencies that will heighten attendee's awareness on training and business opportunities, tips for success for small businesses, and unique requirements and qualifications required for complex projects. Government agencies in attendance will network and forge meaningful partnership with private sector attendees, and have an opportunity to address customer perceptions and experiences based on reviews and feedback. Private sector attendees will have the opportunity to brief federal contracting representatives on its company's ability to fulfill certain requirements within a specific realm of the acquisition landscape. Project lists from government agency attendees are attached for your review. An outline of the two day event is as follows: Day One (Tuesday, June 14) • The morning consists of registration, orientation, and contracting opportunities presented by multiple government agencies. • The afternoon session is devoted solely to training: The Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center (APAC) will present training to small businesses on: • Federal and State Certification Programs • What to Look for In A Request for Proposal (RFP) in Relationship to either a Prime or Subcontractor • Combined Synopsis/Solicitation and Debriefs • Federal Government Marketing Procedures The General Services Administration (GSA) will present training to large businesses on: • Subcontracting • Contract Team Arrangements • OASIS • The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) will host an Ice Breaker from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., at the North Little Rock Argenta Community Theater. Day Two (Wednesday, June 15) • Attendees will have the opportunity to present capability briefings to government personnel who represent unique functional areas as follows: • Medical Facilities Construction + Initial Outfitting • Medical Supplies and Services • Operations and Maintenance Construction • Operations and Maintenance Services & Supplies • Military Construction (i.e. General Contractor for multi-million dollar new construction projects) • Architectural & Engineering Services • Environmental Services • Research and Development (R&D) and/or Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) • Each Federal Agency or USACE District attending Industry Day will be available to discuss their requirements or answer questions. Specific availability times will be coordinated around capability briefs and focus groups; a schedule will be available closer to the day of the event. • The following focus groups will be available to all attendees: • Hydropower • GSA Schedules • Medical Design-Build Initial Outfitting Construction • Military Design-Build Construction • The Little Rock District will host a pre-solicitation conference for a new Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Dredging Contract. The requirement consists of Station Dredging for Navigation Miles 0 to 444.8 for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS), Arkansas, White, & Verdigris Rivers, Arkansas & Oklahoma. The contract will involve dredging between 500 & 1000 stations. USACE will hold a pre-solicitation conference for the IDIQ Dredging Contract at 10:00AM.
