Description

Request for Quotes Digital Imaging System This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to obtain a Brand Name or Equal digital imaging system manufactured by Protein Simple Inc. This is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 "Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items", as supplemented with additional information included on this notice and in conjunction with FAR Part 13.106, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Background: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a regulatory agency with responsibility for the safety of food for humans and animals and the safety and efficacy of drug, devices and other medical products. In support of this regulatory mission, a digital imaging system for the analysis of protein and DNA samples is required for the Division of Biochemical Toxicology, National Center for Toxicological Research.
