Description

Synopsis VA528-16-B-0250: This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publically available. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction Contractor to completely prepare the site including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Parking Expansion on Lot 7, as well as related electrical storm, and utility work as required by the drawings and specifications, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 400 Fort Hill Ave. Canandaigua, NY 14424. Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). The work includes but is not limited to general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, paving, and necessary removal of existing structures and construction; along with related electrical work which includes, labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project- ie. Wiring, conduits, lights, and light bases. Estimated construction cost range is $500,000-$1,000,000. The firm must be a Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction Contractor approved under NAICS: 237310, size standard: $36.5 million. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New York. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about July 5, 2016. A walk-through will be held on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this IFB. These dates are estimates. The actual dates will be stated in the solicitation. The Contracting Specialist for this project is Emily Lindsey (Emily.Lindsey2@va.gov). This is a SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
