Description
Project Information The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) seeks the services of a qualified Woman Owned Small Business (W0SB) general contractor t consturct a new dormitory, parent dormitory and chidl care center at the Mississippu Job Corps Center in Crystal Springs, Misasissippi. Work of the project includes all work necessary to construct, at the Mississippi Job Corps Center in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, a new Dormitory/Single Parent Dormitory and associated site work, construct a new Child Development Center and associate site work, the abatement and demolition of the existing CMU Monticello Dormitory, and the redevelopment of the exterior space reclaimed from that demolition of the Monticello Dormitory. Drawings indicate the work involved to construct the new, approximately 35,000 square foot, Dormitory/Single Parent Dormitory building and all associated structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site work required. Construction is a combination of structural concrete, load bearing CMU walls, steel columns, and metal roof joists. Exterior walls are primarily load bearing CMU with brick veneer. Interior wall construction is a combination of metal studs with gypsum board and CMU. The roof is a modified bitumen membrane roof on metal deck. Drawings indicate the work involved to construct the new, approximately 6,000 square foot, Child Development Center building and all associated structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site work required. Construction is a combination of structural concrete, load bearing CMU walls, steel columns, and steel bar joists. Exterior walls are primarily load bearing CMU with brick veneer. Interior wall construction is a combination of metal studs with gypsum board and CMU. The roof is a modified bitumen membrane roof on metal deck. Drawings indicate the work involved in the abatement and demolition of the existing, approximately 8,000 square foot, existing two story CMU, Monticello Dormitory. Upon completion of the demolition the site of the old building will be developed into a pedestrian plaza. The work includes all grading, walks, lighting, site furnishings, and landscaping required. Who May Respond Interest in this pre-solicitation announcement is open to Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) vendors relative for the primary NAICS code 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 milllion. Any resltant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% WOSB Set-Aside. This will be a construction project with sepcifications and drawings. The magnitue of this procurement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. All interested parties shall be registered via the System for Award Management internet site at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM. WOSB shall be registered with the SBA and can register online at https://www.sba.gov/contracting/government-contracting-programs/women-owned-small-businesses. A pre-proposal conference will be scheduled for this requirement, details regarding the conference outlined in the solicitation along with the date. Basis for Contract Award Selection of the successful bidder will be made by te contracting officer using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) proceudres as stated in FAR Part 15. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS REQUIREMENT BEFORE AN AWARD IS MADE WITH NO OBLIGATION TO THE OFFEROR BY THE GOVERNMENT.
