- Formal Request for Quote This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number W913E5-16-T-0014 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111 - Electronic Computer Manufacturing. This combined synopsis/solicitation is available for full and open competition. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has a requirement for three (3) Advanced HPC Mercury T408 4U tower workstations, brand name or equivalent, for the processing of high-resolution 3D terrain data acquired from LiDAR. Minimum specifications include: • Two Intel Xeon E5-2650v4 2.2 GHz Twelve-Core CPUs • 256GB DDR4-2133 Reg ECC RAM (8x32GB) • One 1TB SATA3 Solid State Drive • Four 4TB NL SAS Hard Drives • Two GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB Graphics Adapter (SLI) • NVIDIA Tesla K40 GPU Accelerator Card • LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i RAID Controller w\ CacheVault • Windows 10 Pro Operating System, Installed and Configured • NVIDIA CUDA Development Kit, Installed and Configured • Wireless Mouse & Keyboard • Supports 4-Way Geforce SLI • Dual Socket R3 (LGA 2011) Supports Intel® Xeon® Processor • E5-2600 v3 Family; QPI up to 9.6GT/s • Up to 1TB ECC DDR4 2133MHz; Sixteen DIMM Slots • Four PCI-E 3.0 x16 Slots • Two PCI-E 3.0 x8 (One in x16) Slots Support Thunderbolt 2.0 AOC, • One PCI-E 2.0 x4 (in x8) Slot; Up to Four GPU • I/O Ports: One VGA, Two COM, Two GbE, Ten USB 2.0, & One IPMI Dedicated LAN • Eight 3.5 Inch Hot-Swap, Three Fixed 5.25 Inch and One Fixed 3.5 Inch Drive Bays • Four Heavy Duty Fans, Two Exhaust Fans, and Two Active • Heatsink with Optimal Fan Speed Control • 2000W Redundant Power Supplies Platinum Level (94%) • Tower and Rackmount capable • GPU Kit for Passive GPU/Xeon Phi Support.
