- SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION: The National Park Service hereby issues a Request For Quotations from Small Business concerns for the potential award of a single, firm-fixed price contract to replace progressive cavity grinder pumps at Gulf Islands National Seashore in nearby Pensacola Beach, Florida. If awarded, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, supervision and equipment necessary for the turn-key replacement of grinder pumps and retrofit control box at two (2) sites within the Fort Pickens Area and one (1) site within the Santa Rosa Area situated on a coastal barrier island. Submersible motor pumps used in pumping stations require wet-installed pumps that are located directly in the pump sump. Wet installation requires a lifting chain or a rod system to lower the submersible motor pump into its final installation position and lift it out again as necessary. Monitoring sensors are fitted to the submersible motor as standard in order to prevent any water or moisture from entering the motor. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contract duration is 60 days after Receipt of Order (ARO). Anticipated period of performance: July 11, 2016 through August 9, 2016.
