DESCRIPTION OF WORK (Physical Characteristics) The scope of work primarily involves the construction of rock dikes of varying length and bank armoring. The contractor shall have the ability to obtain Class 2 riprap stone, and construct such described structures utilizing floating plant and related equipment on the Tombigbee River, between River Miles 90.0 to 92.5, near Jackson, Alabama. The structures would range to a maximum volume of approximately 60,000 cubic yards of Class 2 riprap. The contractor's plant shall be capable of working in varying river gages and flows. The construction cost is expected to range between $5 million to $10 million. Proposed construction duration is 400 calendar days.
