Solicitation will be posted to FBO and attached to this synopsis when it is issued. Closing/response date will be noted on the solicitation.** 2. PR number: FD2030-16-01468. Solicitation number: FA8118-16-R-0078. 3. Service/Spare/Repair/OH: Remanufacture. 4. AMC: R1P. 5. Item: F-16 Leading Edge Flap Power Drive Unit (LEF PDU). 6. NSN: 1650-01-340-6328. 7. P/N: 16M002-821 or C36909-002. 8. Description: The LEF PDU Assembly is a complex unit that converts electrical power and signals into controlled hydraulic power by use of many mechanical and hydraulic sub-assemblies to actuate the leading edge flap for the F-16. Dimensions: 32.5 IN (length), 23.5 IN (width), 30.5 IN (height), 121.0 LB (weight). Material: steel and aluminum. Initial Production Evaluation (IPE) may be required depending on the awardee. Urgent fixed quantity contract is contemplated. Approved sources are Moog, Inc. (CAGE 0ZWK8) and Lockheed Martin Corp. (CAGE 81755). No set asides apply. 9. Total Line Item Quantity: CLIN 0001 Remanufacture: 7 EA CLIN 0002 Over and Above: 1 LOT To Be Negotiated (as needed). CLIN 0003 Data: Not Separately Priced. 10. Application: F-16. 11. Destination: TBD. 12. Delivery: 2 EA per Month Beginning 90 days After Receipt of Order or Reparables, Whichever is Later. 13. Qualification Requirements DO NOT apply. 14. Export Control: Not Applicable. 15. UID Note to Contractor: UID Note to Contractor: If unit price exceeds $5,000, then UID requirements will apply. 16. Applicable Tech Orders: The Government does not possess a T.O. of remanufacture procedures for this item. 17. Written procedures will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
