Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Naval Air Systems Command, E-2/C-2 Airborne Tactical Data System Program Office (PMA-231), Patuxent River, MD intends to award a sole-source contract with Northrop Grumman Services Corporation, 2000 W. Nasa Blvd., Melbourne FL, 32904. The requirement will consist of retrofit efforts to install the Automatic Identification System (AIS) on E-2D Advanced Hawkeye (AHE) aircraft in accordance with an engineering change proposal to provide increased surveillance capabilities. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is based upon Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies or services required are available from only one source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
