Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation in its entirety; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement shall be conducted under FAR Parts 12 Commercial Acquisitions and FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for certain Commercial Items (items exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold but not exceeding $7 million). Award to this solicitation shall be based on the Quoter's ability to provide those specific supplies and services stated in the solicitation. This procurement is for new Equipment ONLY; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All Equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Solicitation number VA262?16?Q-0968 is issued as a "Brand Name or Equal" request for quotation (RFQ). This RFQ is not set-aside for Small Business and is open to all Quoters. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112. If submitting a Brand name or equal product, Quoters shall submit the technical specifications of the product and provide a detailed description of how the brand name or equal product meets or exceeds the salient characteristics listed within this solicitation. "Or Equal" product specifications shall be reviewed by the end user for evaluation to determine technical capability and to determine if it meets or exceeds the specifications and the salient characteristics of the Brand Name product. The Government intends to award a firm?fixed price award. Responses to the solicitation shall be due on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 1600 PDT. Quotes shall be electronically submitted via email directly to the Contracting Officer, Ralph Fontela at raphael.fontela@va.gov. Correspondence or questions may be directed to Ralph Fontela, Contracting Officer at raphael.fontela@va.gov within 48 hours of the posting of this solicitation. Telephone inquiries will not be honored.
