Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This synopsis is notification that Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7-Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, intends to solicit from and award a Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) Contract, on a Sole Source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106, only one responsible source, to G.A. Braun, INC. The Braun Spreader Feeder is the designed spreader for the current Braun Flat Work Ironer System currently being used at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical center. The Braun Spreader Feeder is a replacement part and all of the other major equipment is manufactured by Braun. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 10:00 AM CST, Monday, June 27, 2016, an award will be made without further notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Phone calls will not be accepted. All responses must be made in writing and directed to LaShondra Wynn @ lashondra.wynn@va.gov.
