Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Scaletta Moloney Armoring Corp. The Government intends to negotiate a fixed-price commercial purchase order for the purchase of replacement transparent armored glass to fit 10 of its 2013 Chevrolet Suburbans that were originally designed and armored by Scaletta. A Sole Source procurement is authorized in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source that can provide the specific proprietary glass that was designed by Scaletta for the 10 USSS 2013 Chevrolet Suburbans. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 561613 and the PSC code is 9340. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a written capabilities statement to the items being procured. Written information must be submitted electronically to danielle.donaldson@usss.dhs.gov. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Submission of information does not guarantee that this requirement will become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the listed procuring office by 8:00 AM EST on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
