Description

Modernization of an elevator: The major phases of this contract will include Pre-Design, Design (with 4 stages of document submissions towards finality) and Construction. Demolition, security requirements and the final closeout of contract will be included as standard. The scope of work for this project is to include but is not necessarily limited to the following: •New Machine, New Drive Sheave and Cables •New Drive and Control/Dispatch System •New Hoist way and Car Door Equipment •New Door Operator •New Cab •New Fixtures and Wiring •New Compensating Chains •New Traveling Cables •New Roller Guides •New Code Compliant Governor and Tension Sheave •Fire Recall, ADA and Handicapped Code Compliance •Overhaul Miscellaneous Equipment (Cab Safety-Sling, the Shaft way Rails, Buffers) •Code Compliance (Hoist way Vents, Pit Ladder, etc.) •Connection to Emergency Generator An option will be included to possibly cover Post-Construction Contract Services/Construction Inspection Services. The approximate schedule for this project is estimated to be 51 weeks starting from October 2016.
