Solicitation Number: SGE500-16-R-0118 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ISSUED ONLY TO CONDUCT A MARKET RESEARCH STUDY FOR AN ANTICIPATED REQUIREMENT. THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL CONTRACT FOR ITEMS CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SUBMISSION OF THE INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED OR REIMBURSE EXPENSES INCURRED TO INTERESTED PARTIES FOR RESPONSES. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The information received will be used within the Department of State, (DoS) to facilitate the decision making process in determining the best method available for purchasing construction services in Germany. The vendor should be able to provide all construction services listed below. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code attached to this requirement is 236220, 'Addition, alteration and renovation general contractors, commercial and institutional building'. SCOPE OF WORK: This construction project is to replace 500 square meters of drop ceiling; 500 square meters of flooring, upgrade the electrical and heating systems, and to perform general interior renovation work to include replacing interior doors, painting, tiling, plastering, as well as exterior façade repairs / painting, etc., and a number of other tasks as described in the solicitation, specifications, and drawings. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief statement, and current capability, as well as, the following information: 1) Company name, point of contact, email address, telephone number, type of business and size; 2) A summary of your most recent and relevant government or commercial contracts, to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value and type of contract, period of performance, and brief description; 3) Information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this service in Germany. Limit responses to six (6) pages. Any information provided is voluntary. 4) If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. 5) Companies must be authorized to work in Germany; and, be familiar with European / German Building Codes and practices. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. When responding to this announcement, indicate your business size designation, and if Small Business, identify the Small Business categories that apply to your company.
