- Description
- The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine interest and available product from the RQ-7B Shadow qualified sources. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - APG, Natick Contracting Division, intends to award up to two Firm Fixed Price (FFP) IDIQ contracts under the statutory authority of 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii) (A)(B) "Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". These contracts will cover a five-year ordering period of performance. The Government intends to procure the Shadow RQ-7B Laser Designator Rangefinder (LDRF) payloads that have been tested, fielded and qualified under previous U.S. Government contracts. The Shadow RQ-7B LDRF payload supports the Tactical Commander by providing full motion video using the electro-optical and infrared sensors. The LDRF payloads will allow the payload operator to use the lasers to perform target handover, measure range-to-target, and provide guidance for NATO-standard, laser-guided weapons. The payloads will facilitate freedom of troop maneuver by providing early detection of threats. This effort is not intended to cover payload modifications or upgrades; integration, test, or qualification activities; development of technical or training materials; operator training; support to deployed systems; payload troubleshooting or repair; or the purchase of repair parts or bench stock. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333316, Photographic and Photocopying Equipment Manufacturing. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). The responses to this notice are for Government planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a definitive intent to proceed with this acquisition. Potential Offerors shall submit responses to this RFI via email to Donna Raimondi at donna.m.raimondi.ctr@mail.mil or Dave Codner at cornel.d.codner.civ@mail.mil regarding their ability to provide this specific product, including evidence of qualified U.S. Government test results. Responses should simply indicate if you have the product the Government requires with proof of qualified U.S. Government test results. Responses should be received no later than 3:00 PM, July 1, 2016. Responses to this notice shall not be construed as offers and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. The U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with responding to this notice will be solely at the expense of the interested party.
