Sources sought. Sources Sought: (1) Action Code : SOURCES SOUGHT : Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Outreach Event This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. This is not a request for proposal, but a survey to locate potential sources. The Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. No solicitation documents exist at this time. The Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) will host an outreach event for the purpose of acquiring vendor interest, the capabilities of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and SBA Certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms. A total of 12 (twelve) companies will brief their capabilities to (CECOM)/ Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) the core customers. Other companies that attend the event will have the opportunity to network with other small businesses to discuss teaming arrangements and partnerships. There will be government personnel at the event to provide information on small business initiatives, and how to improve your footprint in the CECOM/C4ISR community. The outreach event will be held at the Mallette Training Facility, building 6008 in Room 5, located at, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. Scheduled for 19 July 2016 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM. RSVPs for this event are due NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM on 13 July 2016. Objective: To improve contract opportunities for SDVOSB and HUBZone Small Businesses within the CECOM/C4ISR base. B. Requirements: CECOM OSBP in collaboration with the Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), on behalf of the CECOM Commanding General, will be conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The sources sought is only open to SDVOSB and HUBZone small business concerns. The Outreach Panel will be comprised of members throughout the contracting, program manager, and division directorate communities. This is for the attendees to brief their capabilities only." All questions will be asked by the panel members only. (After the company has completed the Capabilities Brief.) Government officials will be given time to discuss upcoming requirements at the end of the briefings. The Outreach sessions will not be evaluated under any circumstances. Furthermore, the Outreach sessions will not provide any advantage or disadvantage to the participants. C. Specifications: Selected firms shall provide a copy of their briefing slides to the OSBP along with their response to attend. No more than 10 slides for briefing. The Outreach Sessions will be limited to fifth teen (15) minutes per selected briefer. Briefers should include any capabilities and past performance associated with CECOM/C4ISR. D. Responses: (I) All parties interested in the Outreach Event scheduled for 19 July 2016 shall notify this office by email no later than 12:00PM Eastern Time on 13 July 2016.
