- This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, or Invitation for Bids. A requirement by the government exists for various equipment and components to support the AN/TRN-47 and AN/URN-32 Tactical Navigation (TACAN) Systems. The following TACAN Systems spare parts are required: • HPA Backplane (Part Number CB01287-001) • RCSU RMMI Assembly (Part Number CA73765-001) • Remote Control Status (Part Number CA73480-001) • RCSU Backplane (Part Number CB00655-001) • Modem, Ethernet Extension (Part Number CA83602-001) • Mod Driver Assembly (Part Number CA51147-001) • Cable Assembly, Main RF (Part Number CB25428-001) Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Moog, Inc., Salt Lake City, UT as the equipment that makes up these systems were solely designed and developed by Moog, Inc. Only Moog, Inc. possesses the proprietary Technical Data Package that is essential for the manufacturing of the necessary components. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
