THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility - DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR CCR PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm's capability to bond for a single project of $3 million, and your firm's aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value in which you performed ( as the prime contractor ) highway construction work in environmentally sensitive, remote, locations that included drilled shafts and bride construction. State whether your firm was the prime contract or subcontractor on the project. DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK. The size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc. Refer to the Code of Federal Regulations 13 CFR 121.103 for information on how the SBA determines affiliation and 13 CFR 121.108 regarding the penalties for misrepresentation of size status. PROJECT NUMBER: NM IRR 85(1) PROJECT NAME: Peralta Wash PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is located on Tribal Lands at Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico which located roughly halfway between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It is for construction of a 250 foot bridge across Peralta Creek. The project will consist of a base schedule that will include the construction of the drilled shafts and an option for the remaining work for the bridge. The option may take up to 120 days to award and is dependent on funding. The contractor needs to display experience in delivering a two phased bridge construction project in the past where they have delivered the first phase of the project prior to receiving the notice to proceed on the second phase without a shutdown between the two phases. SIGNIFICANT QUANTITIES (Schedule B): Schedule A Significant Quantities: Drilled Shaft, 36-Inch Diameter: 330 LNFT Drilled Shaft, 42-Inch Diameter: 330 LNFT Option X Significant Quantities: Asphalt Concrete Pavement: 600 TON Structural Concrete, Class A (AE): 389 CUYD Precast, Prestressed Concrete AASHTO Girder (Type III): 990 LNFT Reinforcing Steel, Epoxy Coated: 88,100 LB Bridge Railing, Steel: 559 LNFT ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: The contracting range for this project is: Schedule A - $1.5 - $2.0 million Option X - $0.5 - $1.0 million CONSTRUCTION DURATION: Construction is anticipated to begin around September 15, 2016 with a contract completion date of May 2, 2017 FUNDING SOURCE: Construction will be funded utilizing Homeland Security, Indian Reservation Roads, New Mexico Statewide Transportation Program and Tribal Transportation funds. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR NOTICE Anticipated advertisement in late-July 2016. Anticipated bid opening in late August 2016 Anticipated contract award for Schedule A in early September 2016.
