Description
Amendment Two is posted to provide the following attachments: Attachment 5 Question and Answer Document Attachment 6 Headquarters Building Drawing Attachment 7 Site Visit Sign in Sheet The closing date and time is changed to 1600 Mountain Time July 12, 2016. Reminder: ALL AMENDMENTS MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR PROPOSAL. Amendment One corrects the estimated magnitude of construction it is between $25,000 and $100,000. Also an additional site visit is scheduled from Thursday June 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM See SF 30 for complete details. This project will require the removal and disposal of existing carpet, asbestos-containing tile/mastic and installation of new commercial grade carpet in Building 295 Headquarters at Glacier National Park, West Glacier Montana. The goal for this project is the removal of overlaying carpet (approximately 1800 sq. feet.), removal of four inch vinyl base (approximately 600 linear feet), removal of asbestos-containing tile/mastic material (approximately 1800 sq. feet, located under carpet) from the hallway, three closets and office thresholds; installation of new commercial grade carpet, installation of new vinyl base, proper disposal of the ACM, and clearance testing. No offices will be included but current carpet seams are located in threshold of office doorways. This action will significantly reduce the potential for exposure to airborne asbestos fibers. All work will be completed to applicable and appropriate U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), State of Montana laws and regulations, and National Park Service policy and guidance documents. See SF1442 and Attachments for complete details of the requirement.
