- Note: This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Part (FAR) Part 10, Market Research and FAR Part 15, Exchanges with Industry before Receipt of Proposal. This notice serves as a Sources Sought in support of market research and/or planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. This notice is not a confirmation that the Government will contract for the items or services contained in the sources sought, nor is any commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract implied. This notice does NOT constitute an Invitation to Bid, a Request for Proposal, or a Request for Quote. The Government shall not pay and/or reimburse respondents and/or associates for any costs incurred to submit the requested information. All information received in response to this sources sought that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(c), response to this sources sought is not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Wilmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19805 has a need for complete replacement of the floorings in 3 pharmacy clean rooms. The draft statement of work is attached. The purpose of this is to seek capable and responsible sources interested in performing this service. Responses will assist the Government with developing its acquisition strategy to include socio-economic set-asides. If you are interested in performing this service, please provide a brief statement of your capabilities. Additionally, if you have an existing GSA Federal Supply Schedule (GSA FSS) contract that you believe is within scope of this effort, please provide your GSA FSS contract number. Finally, if you believe there are ambiguities in the draft SOW, please identify them. Note that the Government will not answer questions about this requirement at this time. SCOPE OF WORK Replace flooring in 3 clean rooms in "In-Patient Pharmacy" Project Wilmington, DE VA Medical Center Wilmington, DE 19805 GENERAL: This project is located within the Wilmington VA Medical. It involves all design work and phasing to: 1.Contractor shall complete all rooms (100%) and must ready for use by Sunday morning. 2.Contractor shall Work to be performed after hours Thursday-Sun (see working schedule table below). 3.Contractor shall move all furniture in the three (3) in-patients Pharmacy as required to perform their work. VA will disconnect all computers and reconnect them the following morning. 4.Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all flooring, cove base and threshold. 5.Contractor shall prepare floors by scarifying existing concrete to remove defective patch and loose concrete. 6.Contractor shall add new concrete with Ardex SD-F or equal 7.Contractor shall install new flooring Brand Name or equal to Noraplan. 8.Contractor shall install new flooring with heat welded seams and 4"integral base thru. out. Flooring must be non-slip anti-microbial that can be heat sealed to allow for seamless flooring. 9.Contractor shall submit a sample of the new flooring to COR and it must be approved prior to order. 10.Total area of the three rooms is about 800-900 sq.feet. SPECIFICS: 1.The area is used as office space. 2.This project is to be a complete replacement of the floorings in 3 clean rooms in In-patient Pharmacy, including abatement of all hazardous materials and demolition of all existing flooring, cove base and accessories. 3.Interior design (finish selection) shall be closely coordinated with the VA Environmental Management Service (EMS) located at VAMC Wilmington. All designs shall be accomplished in accordance with VA guidelines and specifications, which are available on the Internet at http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard. EXPECTATION: Prepare any measured drawings of existing systems of facility required to insure the accuracy of the design. ?
