- This notice serves to clarify the term of Contract No. R13PC30235 for Mid-Term Operations Model (MTOM) System Maintenance Support. Special Notice posted on May 31, 2013, notified the public of the Government's intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the University of Arizona. The University of Arizona has worked has worked extensively with Reclamation to support the operation and maintenance of weather stations and the reporting of meteorological data. The weather stations of interest include stations along the lower Colorado River which are part of the Arizona Meteorological Network (AZMET). AZMET provides meteorological data required for the computation of evapotranspiration, the water used by plants. Evapotranspiration data is used by farmers to calculate their irrigation needs. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition was prepared in support of this acquisition, which stated the Government intended to issue a contract with a base year plus four 1-year option periods. This notice serves as notification of the intent to have listed the option years in the sole source notification.
